Guide to Fast Site Ranking If your SEO strategy has been to “go through the motions” or you have been doing 80% of what needs to be done,  There are some low hanging fruit items that you can do to quickly alert the search engines that your site is ready to get a higher ranking.  If ou do the work and update the site with relevant reader-oriented content, the algorithms will give you higher ranking.

Use Less Popular Keywords

Using a keyword tool such as google keyword planner, ubbersuggest or ahrefs, see if you can find keywords that are below the top of the list in popularity and competition.  Examples would be going for “How to rank for Local SEO” instead of “SEO”.  or “Ranking a small site quickly” instead of “SEO”.

Use Modifiers

Modifiers add specificity to general keywords.  Example would be “SEO for Real Estate Websites.” instead of “SEO” .  Modifiers can indicate certain things about the reader or the searcher who used the search term.  Modifiers can narrow down your content and make it more specifically relevant to a demographic set of people.

Use Longtail

Longtail keywords are less searched keywords.  The advantage of using long tail is that the searchers who use them have a high level of specificity.  Even though you will get fewer overall visitors to your site based on long tail,  the visitors you get will see content that speaks directly to their searching terms.  This will make them more likely to become highly engaged with your content.

Use Buyer Intent

Buyer intent keywords are keywords that indicate that the searcher is ready to spend money.  Buyer intent terms are modifiers such as “Best Rated [keyword]”, or “most affordable [keyword]”

Add Value

Adding value also increases engagement with your site.  IF you give value of your expertise to a reader, they will stay on your page and read longer.  This has a positive effect on your seo ranking in direct and indirect ways.  To understand more about adding value through content, go to google and insert the words “how to [keword]”  You will see people that write content that speaks directly to a searcher’s desire to learn and be informed.

Write for Context

Before you start writing content for a set of keywords,  look at the other top ranking sites that match for that keyword.  See what the overall landscape is for that keyword.  Practice the art of “fitting in and standing out”.  Try to write content that both matches the existing group of sites but also adds something to the conversation.  Try to understand the landscape around your content but then add your personality to it at the same time.

See what Competitors are Ranking For

Using tools like Ahrefs and Spyfu, you can see what the other sites are using for keywords that also rank for your targeted keyword.  This can be incredibly helpful for you to find out subjects for posts or subpages that will flesh out your overall siteplan.

Location specific content is great for long tail seo traffic. It also has a higher buyer intent because people tend to look locally to do business with certain types of businesses.   Participate in local events and do off page promotions for local customers.  This will generate a lot of great content that you can use to boost your page visibility in local search.

Do Regular Updating and Fix all points in Site Audits.

Using Google Search Console as well as other site audit tools,  fix as many of the errors you can over a three to six month period.  Regular updating of the site will alert the search algorithms that your site needs to be crawled and cataloged by the search algorithms.

Purchase low cost engagement traffic.

This is an advanced tactic that should be done after you have fleshed out your site and have cleaned up your site audit.  If the site has very solid SEO Fundamentals,  it can be helpful to run low cost high engagement ad campaigns to send hundreds of uninitiated readers to your site to discover something new that they didn’t know existed.  You can win a lot of new readers and customers this way.   https://searchengineland.com/how-to-get-new-web-sites-to-rank-quickly-14490 https://stablewp.com/how-to-rank-your-brand-new-website-quickly-in-any-niche/
